Suspension
The quality of the suspension on a 3 wheel double buggy is vital to how it will be easy for you and your child to push. A smooth ride is vital because babies feel every bump on the road, especially when it's in rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models come with locking front tires to help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.
Certain models have air-filled tyres which will provide a fantastic all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures, so make sure you have spares in the trunk. Some models have gel-filled or foam-filled tyres which are designed to cushion bumps. They are less likely to puncture, however they could be uncomfortable for your child if they decide to jog.

Folding

There are models that fold flat or stand up (as though they were in the shape of a pushchair) and others that pop out to reveal a more umbrella-like folding that has an operated break. The more wheels a buggy is equipped with, in general the more easy it will be to maneuver on rough terrain. This is particularly true when the wheels are bigger than average. This will provide you with more stability and reduce the chance that your children will fall over or tip over.
